This past week I found an article from the WSJ about Discord. (Picture related)
When I mentioned it to a family member, they showed me the vidI'm embedding here.
I'm guessing anons covered this story some time ago, before I was as aware as I am now. But learning about this makes me wonder why Discord is still acceptable to use. I would not let a minor child in my care download this app and I won't use it myself, either. How does Discord make money? If they don't make money from users then it seems to me that they are (as the video says) "spyware". Who do they sell data on people (including children?!) to? How do we get this spyware removed from devices used by children?
