RANDOLPH, Mo. —

The Kansas City Police Department said the search for a "possible armed party" at Hunt Midwest Subtropolis is over after the subject was taken into custody.

Police said a former employee who was terminated made threats that he was going to respond and “shoot the place up." Police said Tuesday morning security officials spotted the individual entering the premises. The suspect – described as a white mane in his 40s possibly armed with a handgun – was located at another location.

The lockdown at Midwest Subtropolis has been lifted.
