YouTube star Etika, 29, found dead nearly a week after posting concerning video

The New York Police Department confirmed that the gaming vlogger, whose real name is Desmond Amofah, was found dead nearly a week after he went missing.

"On Monday, June 24, 2019 … police responded to a 911 call for a person floating in the waters in the vicinity of South Street Seaport," Detective Sophia Mason told USA TODAY in a statement.

Mason said Amofah was identified Tuesday, and that the medical examiner will determine how he died.

Believers in the far-right circle of QAnon have long held the conspiracy that the son of the former president didn't die in a 1999 plane crash. And now, they've put a fresh spin on it, suggesting on their message boards at QMap that President Trump is set to announce the definitely deceased JFK Jr. as his 2020 running mate, NBC News Ben Collins reports.

A solid bunch of Trump supporters have long believed in "Q," someone with a high level of government clearance who allegedly shares coded messages hinting at Trump's purported efforts to uproot Democrats, Hollywood elites, and the so-called deep state as a whole. They've been seen sporting Q shirts at Trump events, and were out in full force at Trump's campaign launch last week. But Q hasn't been heard from in a month, prompting believers to post extended prayers for their safe return.

Police respond to shooting at Ford dealership in Morgan Hill, California

NBC Bay Area reports at least two people have been shot. Police tell the news station the suspect was recently fired. KPIX reports the two people who were reportedly shot worked at the facility as well. There is no word on the condition of the victims at this time.

Sheriffs: Legal marijuana causing more crime, accidents

The nation’s sheriffs are calling on Washington and state capitals to slow the rush to legalize marijuana because they are seeing a surge in crime and highway accidents in areas where it is already legal to buy.

The National Sheriffs’ Association polled its members on the impact of legal marijuana and found that it is causing significant problems and costing departments more money to handle the growing crisis.

Some 65% said that crime has increased where marijuana has been legalized. Eighty-four percent linked it to impaired driving and accidents. And 74% said that they need “an increase in personnel, resources and training” to handle the surge in marijuana-related cases.
