So these two articles go together and guess what group is behind the huge expansion of viewing raw data signals intelligence, you guessed it buddies, “Lawfare”. This is the same group that Comery, McCabe, Strzok and Page we’re forwarding important articles to each other and would there to consult with others.

Interesting the title “Lawfare” is a perversion of what the law is supposed to provide, justice and fairness, they’ve made it intentional and known that they are waging war by the use of the law, attack and destroy others by legal means…which they almost succeeded in doing. Remember the insurance policy quote from Strzok came from a discussion or article on Lawfare.

Jay Sekulow Discovers New Documents To Backstop Obama’s Operation Against Trump – Connects To Evelyn Farkas…

In March 2017 CTH first highlighted statements by Evelyn Farkasthat described a coordinated effort from within the Obama administration to push political opposition research, gathered by the intelligence community, into the media.

Why Is Obama Expanding Surveillance Powers Right Before He Leaves Office?

It could be to prevent Trump from extending them even more

! Kaveh WaddellJan 13, 2017

The Obama administration made it easier for the NSA to share information with other intelligence agencies, just weeks before the inauguration. Jonathan Ernst / Reuters

Susan Hennessey, a Brookings fellow and the managing editor of

Lawfare

says firming up the changes before Trump takes office makes it harder for the incoming president to encroach even further on civil liberties

There was this identified issue of “stovepiping”: Intelligence wasn’t being shared frequently or fast enough. Some modifications have already been made throughout the years.

Under Executive Order 12333 as it previously existed, NSA analysts had to make an initial determination and apply a set of privacy rules before sharing raw signals-intelligence information with other parts of the intelligence community. After this change, it doesn’t necessarily have to be an NSA analyst that makes that determination—that information can be shared with other parts of the intelligence community.

So it doesn’t change the substantive rules, it doesn’t change the scope of collection, it doesn’t change the types of protection, it doesn’t change the possible uses;

it essentially just broadens the group of people who can apply those protections to the raw intelligence

CONGRESSFive Reasons Why Trump’s Tillis Endorsement Makes No Sense

Tillis is a member of the establishment GOP with a history of opposing Trump.

Unfortunately, Tillis has a record of opposing Trump’s stated goal of securing the border with a big, beautiful wall – and nearly everything else about the President. Here are five examples:

Big League Politics caught up with Tillis on Capitol Hill in January, where he assured us that “there’s no such thing as a border wall,” when asked about border security. He was also critical of the wallon an appearance on “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”

Tillis capitulated to the political left about U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s policy of family separation, saying “We should not be separating children migrants from their families.” Of course, he was silent about the Obama administration using the same tactics.

Tillis broke with Trump on a February amendment to a bill that would have withdrawn U.S. troops from Afghanistan and Syria. Trump endorsed the amendment – again looking to make good on his promise of stopping the endless military conflict in the Middle East – but Tillis voted against it.

Tillis opposed Trump last year when the President was considering leaving the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), saying, “If they were seriously planning on withdrawing from NATO, I think it would create a unifying event unlike anything you’ve seen in U.S. history.” Tillis was referring to members of Congress on both sides of the aisle uniting to oppose a NATO withdrawal.

Tillis openly supported former Special Counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s investigation into nonexistent Russian “collusion,” even sponsoring a bill to protect Mueller from being fired, which drew criticism from the rest of the GOP.

It is unclear why Trump would support someone who has worked so vehemently against him in the past. However, the timing of the endorsement suggests Trump might have been looking to get it out of the way.

The surprise endorsement comes quite early in the 2020 cycle. Tillis only has two declared opponents – a relatively unknown farm owner named Sandy Smith, and former CEO of Triangle Capital Garland Tucker. Rumors have swirled that Rep. Ted Budd (R-N.C.) might also challenge Tillis.
