FIREWORKS! “No, I Will Not Yield!” Mark Meadows Blasts Oversight Dems at Hatch Act Hearing – Defends Kellyanne Conway (VIDEO)

Congressman Mark Meadows (R-NC) came out guns blazing on Wednesday during a Hatch Act hearing about Kellyanne Conway.

The Democrat-led House Oversight Committee voted 25-16 to authorize a subpoena for Kellyanne Conway over (non existent) Hatch Act violations.

Meadows lit up the House Oversight Dems and Obama’s crooked administration and defended Kellyanne Conway.

“We’re talking about keeping politics out of government? This subpoena is nothing more than a political spectacle…”Meadows said.

“There is ethical complaints about every member of Congress,” Meadows said calling out Swalwell and Schiff by name.

At this point a Democrat tried to shut Meadows up and he pushed back.

“No! I will not yield!” Meadows exclaimed. “And here’s what is troubling Mr. Chairman, we have one standard for Kellyanne Conway and another standard for everybody else and so if you’re gonna subpoena people, let’s subpoena Samantha Power,” he said. “Let’s make sure she comes in because you know what I have? I have emails on her official account where she was going after Donald Trump while she was working for our government and indeed at the same time was unmasking individuals!” he said.

Bravo, Meadows!

"Not Enough": UAE Rejects US "Proof" Of Iran's Role In Prior Tanker Attacks

Russia has given official backing to Iran's version of events concerning last week's drone shoot down which nearly sparked a major US-Iran war, as Bloomberg reports, and lashed out at the White House's sanctioning of Iran's Supreme Leader. "There is a very narrow window left because this is an absolutely insulting step for intergovernmental relations. But hope dies last," a top Russian Foreign Ministry official in Moscow, Zamir Kabulov told reporters of Washington's new sanctions on Khamenei.

"Iran will never be alone if, God forbid, the U.S. ever takes absolutely crazy and irresponsible actions against it," he said. "Not only Russia, but many countries sympathize with Iran."

Meanwhile Russian media is reporting exclusive quotes from the United Arab Emirates' foreign minister which brings the entire series of events which led to the current crisis into question. Specifically the UAE has called into question unfounded US assertions that there's "proof" that Iran was behind prior May tanker attacks in the Gulf of Oman, which set the stage for the June 13 limpet mine incident and resulting blame game.

Though last Thursday's dramatic drone shoot down over the gulf now makes the tanker "limpet mine attack" incident seem like a distant memory, it was a series of tanker incidents in the gulf which hastened the US-Iran collision course in the Strait of Hormuz, given the US military build-up in response to the May as well as mid-June events.

“We cannot accuse any nation at the moment because we don’t have indisputable proof,” UAE foreign minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan said Wednesday during a joint media conference with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in Moscow.

During that prior May incident, two Saudi tankers were reported attacked near the Strait of Hormuz, along with two other international vessels off the UAE port city of of Fujairah, in what the Saudis and their allies dubbed “sabotage operations”.

Appearing to indirectly respond to firm assertions out of Washington that none but Iran could have been responsible - and specifically the elite IRGC force - the UAE FM said further:

If other nations have more concrete information, I am sure the international community will gladly hear them out. But we have to be very serious and careful. It has to be reliable, scientifically confirmed information which would convince the international community.

Trump tells CNN reporter his conversations with Putin are ‘none of her business’

US President Donald Trump has informed a CNN journalist that what he plans to say to Russian President Vladimir Putin when they meet at the upcoming G20 summit in Japan is “none of your business.”

Sarah Westwood asked Trump if he would tell Putin “not to interfere” in the 2020 American presidential election, prompting the quick dismissive reply from Trump.

“I'll have a very good conversation with [Putin] — what I say to him is none of your business,” he said.

Mysteries surrounding the content of Trump's conversations with Putin have cropped up before. Democrats are still convinced that Trump swiped an interpreter’s notes from their meeting at the 2017 G20 Summit in Hamburg.

Senior officials from both the White House and the Kremlin have confirmed that the two leaders will meet in Osaka at the weekend. The pair are likely to discuss arms control issues, US tensions with Iran, the ongoing crisis in Syria and stability in Ukraine.

Kremlin spokesperson Yury Ushakov also confirmed that the meeting will take place “in the presence of four or five associates from both parties” — which should help to ease Westwood’s worst fears.
