Cryptos Collapse As Bitcoin Loses $1500 In Minutes

After the biggest day since December 2017, Bitcoin just crashed over $1500 in minutes, dragging the rest of the crypto space with it.

Erasing the day's gains and then some.

As an aside, US equity futures extended their losses after the close as Bitcoin got hit.

However, perhaps it is as simple as this chart…

I will, they have become comfortably numb at this point. Benioff blows 5-15k shares every week and has for years-$1.5m a week. Have seen others and probably just became white noise.

thanks for the heads up with the connection

John V Roo's, BOD member of Salesforce.com and former Ambassador to Japan-Hussein admin.(bio below) has sold $2.24m in shares since 2015

Career

Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati

Roos was hired by Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in 1985, having previously worked for O'Melveny & Myers in the early 1980s. The company caught the tech startup wave and over the next 25 years became the premier legal firm in the Valley, growing from 50 employees to more than 1,500 worldwide

Stanford Connections

He also served in various capacities at both Stanford University, where he served on the School of Education's Dean's Advisory Board and Stanford Law School—including as a member of the law school's Dean's Advisory Council. He was also elected to membership in the Stanford Associates for his long-standing volunteer service to the University.

Roos supported Democrats including Mondale, Bradley, Kerry, and Obama, for whom he co-chaired the California financing operation.

Ambassadorship

In May 2009 Obama named Roos to replace the departing Tom Schieffer as United States Ambassador to Japan. Ambassador Roos' tenure in Japan coincided with a historic period in U.S.-Japan relations. Shortly after his arrival, the Democratic Party of Japan assumed power, the first real party transition in the Japanese government in 50 years. Roos played a key role in managing the relationship through that transition.

He also worked closely with Japan on issues related to the Hague Convention and handling of International Parent-Child Abduction cases, ultimately resulting in Japan's joining in 2014.

Roos also led the creation of the TOMODACHI Initiative in the wake of the U.S. relief efforts(after Fukushima). The initiative is a public-private partnership with the U.S.-Japan Council, a Washington DC based organization, to invest in Japan's next generation of leaders.

TOMODACHI provides young Japanese and Americans with opportunities to study, live, and work in each other's countries,

Roos marshaled assistance from a large number of high-profile celebrities to support the cause, including Lady Gaga, Tom Cruise, Will Smith, Cal Ripken, and will.i.am. Roos also has leveraged his popular Twitter account (over 55,000 followers, making him the most-followed U.S. Ambassador anywhere outside the United States at the time) to share information and generate excitement.

crude not climbing because we are close to a 30 year high inventory build. The refinery represents the processing capacity, can have all the crude you want but if you can't refine or process…. Hence RBOB is up-Philly refinery now closed and no official date given for re-opening Crude got popped today because it came off of the build it has had. Like it was never going to…but that's how they roll now. Need some investigations into the speculative side of this regarding the COMEX-under the CME group-positions. They state that there are position limits on some of the commodity's but they are never enforced.

poorly worded on my part. It's not climbing as it usually does when a geo-political event affects it such as the iranian tanker, philly refinery event. If you recall the situations when this habbened before it took off and never looked back. Remember when it got to $150/pb? That was an engineered event. The pop today habbened precisely on the release of the data regardiing a slight drawdown. So yes it has climbed but in relation to these events affecting it it has not taken off as in years past.

It certainly could but there is about $26b in open interest in it on the long side. All they need to see is the 'wrong' headline and they will bail on that HARD-unwinding that-and it's all contracts at the COMEX. Love to see the rise in it but many are unaware that a physical commodity is priced in a paper market. Been a huge issue for many years.

Those long positions in it would scare me as that is now the 'herd' trade and the system loves to play games with that.

The manipulation aside, yes thatwould be a healthy pull-back and nice set-up. technically speaking in agreement.
