Israel is hardly a paragon in the field of public transit systems. The question is: does Tel Aviv even have a joined up subway? Anon recalled reading of stop/start problems in the 90s and early 2000s.

 

Even Wikipedia’s current entry is unpersuasive that NYC could learn anything about subway systems from Israel.
