Another observation here it may be obvious but maybe not, the child looks like he's wearing a diaper..it looks too perfectly formed in other words, fresh, NOT wet! It should look like a balloon and saggy at the same time.
I also find it difficult to believe that the child wouldn't have lost his shoes.

Could be larger for his age, however, most individuals from SA aren't large people typically. That said the child appears beyond diaper stage.
