Two weirdnesses in POTUS's just-now tweet.

1) it's should be its (possessive)

2) the circled comma should either be absent, or if present needs to be paired with a second comma to make 'and its unity' an appositive clause.

POTUS makes clear that he understands the way to use commas to set off a clause correctly in the phrase after Dean Heller.

 

So it's a marker and means something. But what?

 

What POTUS tweeted:

It would be great for the Republican Party of Nevada, and itโ€™s unity if good guy Danny Tarkanian would run for Congress and Dean Heller, who is doing a really good job, could run for Senate unopposed!

 

As corrected by grammarfag:
