Q told us to prepare. He didn't say HOW or for WHAT. While most prepping may be too narrowly focused for what lies ahead (natural disaster? civil unrest? space aliens? contagious disease? EMP? EMP followed by land invasion? all of the above?), it's leagues ahead of those whose prepping consists of perfecting "duck lips" on FB selfies.
If you haven't started, begin.
If you are well along, add skills (which could include adding people).
Or, it could include paring people off who have proven themselves to be parasites. I pared off a "friend" who said "You'd take care of a (religiously speaking) Brother, wouldn't you?" I told him "No … because an actual brother would have taken the advice to prepare for his own family". Not the answer he was looking for and we didn't have much to do with each other after that. I put in a highly productive raised bed garden. He mowed his lawn, too lazy to dig up even a corner of it.
Since what my wife and I have stored may have to last an indefinite, but lengthy, time, we've had many "hard" discussions about mercy toward others.
"Prepping" is not about how much food and ammo you have stored, but about your mental determination to survive and the trade-offs that may have to be made with your humanity. Eventually hard choices must be made.
