Besides the typical tribal theft by the usual unsuspected suspects being a reason to bury the man's legacy, there is the fact that Philo had a FUSION device (the Fusor?) which generated EXCESS neutrons, repeatedly!
IOW, the potential for relatively "cold" fusion from his unique vacuum tubes!
Yeah, must stifle any inventor who comes close to blowing up the inane law of conservation of energy (valid in limited context of chemistry only) and breaking the Matrix in the 1930's!
