Mass Surveillance: The Pentagon Can Now ID You By Your Heartbeat With A Laser

As if we aren’t being tracked, recorded, and monitored enough, the Pentagon now has a laser that can identify a person by their heartbeat. Your heartbeat is going to be a lot harder to hide than your face…

So when is enough surveillance enough? Apparently, there’s no line the government can cross that will rile up the masses. We’ve got facial recognition in airports and schools, cars that can be unlocked just by looking at them, technology that can detect a person’s unique way of walking, and of course the ubiquitous fingerprint, used for everything from smartphones to event ticketing. As MIT Technology Review reports, the Pentagon has developed a laser that can identify people from a distance by their heartbeat alone. The technology, known as Jetson, uses laser vibrometry to identify surface movement on the skin caused by a heartbeat, and it works from 200 meters away.

Everyone’s cardiac signature is unique, and unlike faces and fingerprints, it can’t be altered in any way. As with facial recognition and other biometrics which rely on optimal conditions, though, Jetson does have a few challenges. It works through regular clothing such as a shirt, but not thicker garments, such as a winter coat. It also takes about 30 seconds to collect the necessary information, so right now it only works if the target is sitting or standing still. And, of course, its efficiency would also depend on some kind of cardiac database. Nonetheless, under the right conditions, Jetson has over 95 percent accuracy. –Engadget.

This would mean the Pentagon’s goal is to create a cardiac database of everyone’s heartbeat in order to monitor, track, and surveil all of us. Orwell’s future looks better than what we’re going to be experiencing. Official documents from the Combating Terrorism Technical Support Office (CTTSO) suggest this has been in the works for some time. However, it could have other applications as well.

Proponents say that this could help doctors wirelessly monitor patients, and it may very well be sold to the public as such using propaganda. However, if history is any indication, this will be used as a tool of mass surveillance just like our smartphones are now.

On the eve of the G20 summit, Putin said that the "liberal idea" had "outlived its purpose" as the public has turned against immigration and multiculturalism. His push back on liberalism aligns Putin with leaders like US president Donald Trump, Hungary’s Viktor Orban, Matteo Salvini in Italy, and the Brexit insurgency in the UK.

Putin said:

“[Liberals] cannot simply dictate anything to anyone just like they have been attempting to do over the recent decades.”

Immigration and Refugees

He said that Chancellor Angela Merkel's decision to admit over 1 million refugees to German was a "cardinal mistake" and praised President Trump for trying to stop migrants and drugs from Mexico.

Putin said:

“This liberal idea presupposes that nothing needs to be done. That migrants can kill, plunder and rape with impunity because their rights as migrants have to be protected. Every crime must have its punishment. The liberal idea has become obsolete. It has come into conflict with the interests of the overwhelming majority of the population.”

GAFFE MACHINE: Sleepy Joe Biden Vows to ‘Make America Great Again’ Before Taking the Stage in Tonight’s Dem Debate

leepy Joe Biden fired off a tweetstorm Thursday evening as he was preparing to take the stage in round two of the Democrat debate in Miami.

Biden the gaffe machine will be participating in Thursday evening’s clown show and he promised to make America great again an hour before the debate began.

Awkward.

“In an hour, I’ll take the stage for the first Democratic debate to discuss my vision for the country. As I’ve said from day one, I’m running for president for three reasons: to restore the soul of this nation, rebuild its backbone — the middle class, and unify all Americans,” Biden said in a tweet.

So basically he wants to MAGA…

And of course there was some demagoguery because all Dems are demagogues. Biden doesn’t want to make this country great, he wants to destroy it.

The poor keep getting poorer, says Joe Biden, but if you vote for a bigger and more Socialist government, then we can all be poor together. Misery loves company after all.

And of course Biden wants to defend DACA and extend health care benefits to illegal aliens.

Under my plan, everyone will have the option to buy into a public health plan like Medicare. And we’ll guarantee that the poor – who otherwise would be covered by the Medicaid expansion – are automatically covered, free of charge.

Twin Blasts Leave 1 Killed, 17 Injured in Iraq’s Kirkuk - Reports

A twin attack on passenger buses in Iraq’s city of Kirkuk left one woman killed and 17 other people injured, local media reported.

The Rudaw news agency reported that improvised explosive devises, planted on the two buses, went off in two Kirkuk’s districts on Thursday.

While no group has claimed responsibility for the attack, the local authorities blamed it on the remnants of the Daesh* terror group, according to Rudaw.

"Kirkuk Provincial Council, while strongly condemning this cowardly terrorist attack… renews its insistence on the necessity to uproot the roots of terror and strike with an iron fist against ISIS remnants, not underestimate them, and for the security forces to take the highest degree of alertness and carefulness," the council said in a statement late on Thursday.

Daesh was defeated in Iraq in late 2017. However, some terror cells are still believed to be operating in the country.
