Mueller (and team) testimony
>"The report laid out 10 instances in which Trump might have obstructed justice, but Mueller declined to make a determination on the matter, citing a Justice Department guideline that sitting presidents cannot be indicted."
1st & 10 on the 40.
Read (and debunk in detail) the 10 instances. Focus on 1st and 10th. Mueller had 40 FBI assigned to his investigative team. These remained under the supervision of the FBI - its regulations and protocols and lawyer/supervisor. That supervision extends to any future investigations of the investigators. Meanwhile, Mueller, as SC, supervised the matters of the investigation. And, presumably, that means he supervised his team of 18 angry Dems.
Can lawfags confirm/ discuss whether or not Mueller's "supervision of the matters" extends to supervision of his team during an investigation of the investigators? Or now that the office is closed, and he has stepped-down as SC, are they no longer supervised, much less by Mueller? The team members are now free agents?
Each of the 10 instances are described as much by misleading affirmations as by bald faced lies of omission.
Doubtful that the Dem chairs of these committees will stop fellow Dems from wasting time and interrupting Repub questioners. It will be a frustrating spectacle - a la Comey's last round of questioning.
But the call for the underlying documentation may eventually produce results as the Angry Dems will be tempted, very tempted, to over-play their hand.
In testifying, one might goad moar out of them than they are prepared to discuss.
