Not entirely certain this is merit worthy, but for the past several months, NAVY SEALS (both recruits and active members) have been spotted in a San Fernando Valley (quite a distance inland from the shore, or any Naval base) municipal sports park running through PT, timed runs around the track, and swimming laps in the municipal pool. Through the years, this anon has only seen the local ARMY Reserve units doing their semi-annual PT testing in that park. Why now the NAVY SEALS? They are so obvious when there because of their appearance (NAVY tee shirts and instructor uniforms) and physical performance compared with the locals who do their morning workouts. Why SEALS at that location? Those in charge always have time to talk with locals (me.) Any "Thank you for your service," or a "God bless you" spoken to them will get a quick, hearty response in kind.
