>PS Why are posts always bumped out of posting because there are too many replies already. Doesn't this mess up the flow of following a topic? Doesn't this make it difficult to continue a thread / message / learning for those who do come here to learn?
Each bread is limited to 751 posts - don't know why - that's just the way it is,, so simply accept it. The system will not accept any posts to a bread once the limit is reached.
Three ways to know when a bread is close to the limit:
1 - Scroll down to the end of the bread. The closer that the R number is to 751, the less time you have to post (also means your post is that much less likely to be nominated as a Notable because the baker will make a final Notable run around post 650).
2 - Go to the catalog, refresh it, and look at the numbers under the picture. Example: R:166 /I: 178 / P: 1. That means that bread has 166 posts and 178 images. I think the P means page but am not sure. In all practicality, only the R number (# of posts) makes any difference. See above explanation.
3 - Download the latest version of the 8Kun Baker Tools (most recent version is 0.5.2 at:
https://pastebin.com/mPVxr7Lz
). Among other neat features, it displays (and updates) the post number in the lower right corner of your screen. See pix.
Although they're labeled "Baker Tools," anyone can use them and they have many useful features (the post number feature alone makes it worthwhile to use). Obviously, I highly recommend them, have had no problems using them, and see no downsides to using the code. Use the QSearch function at:
https://qresear.ch/
and search for Baker Tool
or for the first two digits of the latest version number (e.g., 0.5) because sometimes there is a minor bug fix. It's best to wait a few days after the latest fix is posted in case an update to fix yet another bug shows up.
Installation is simple and easy.
a. Go to the Baker Tools pastebin website
b. Copy the code from the box under JavaScript to a .txt file (warning - they can be very long, like 2053 lines for v0.5.2).
c. Save the .txt file to your hard drive in a folder like "how to manipulate the 8kun website."
d. Because I don't use any scripts other than the Baker Tools, I just click on Options (upper right corner of screen), click on User J/S, and delete any existing code in User J/S.
e. Copy the JavaScript code from the .txt file.
f. Paste it into User J/S.
g. Click on "Save custom Javascript."

The Baker Tools also enable you to find Q posts, any (yous) you've received, and your own posts in a given bread - see the pix. I recommend you copy and paste your posts (or at least the links and post#s) in a .txt or .doc file for future reference.
