Your reliance on religion to attack prolifers is pathetic. Let’s talk science and law if you are so dismissive of morality.

Per science, a fetus is a separate HUMAN. It doesn’t matter if it has a beating heart, working lungs, ability to dream, suck its thumb, feel pain or burp. It has a separate, complete human DNA and that is what makes something human. The rest of the nonsense Is just empathy driven, arbitrarily selected developmental milestones no different than reaching the age of menstruation or having adult teeth.

The real issue is the law. The unborn have been stripped of “personhood” (see caselaw) which is why they are denied basic human rights including the merest amount of due process. That’s barbaric. The USA has some of the most unfettered rights to abortion on the planet - much less restrictive than many countries we consider prowoman and civilized. Our laws look more like North Korea than many European countries and if the nonsense that abortion on demand is a necessary component to enhance female equality, what can you say to those counties? The law does NOT say the fetus isn’t a human being. It relies on saying it is not a “person.” That is merely a legal compncept to protect the political power of individuals who are more politically powerful - recall slave owners who routinely maltreated their slaves because the slaves lacked civil rights. They weren’t persons - they were property and treated accordingly. The unborn have even fewer civil protections. Is it any wonder so many millions of unborn have been slaughtered? In an honest moment, you’d concede that only a small fraction of them were aborted due to anything other than convenience.

People are standing in line begging for babies to adopt and as a longtime child advocate, I assure you, the idea that “unwanted” kids are at high risk of abuse is pure balderdash. The abusers are the parents who eagerly have kids for all the wrong reasons, are mentally ill and/or have substance abuse and antisocial issues. Ambiguous parents-to-be nearly always turn into good caregivers because they are realistic about the difficulties of raising a child. Once they have a relationship with the child, they fall in love.

And if you dismiss morality as just a matter of choice, you have nothing to comp,Ian about when someone takes you at your word and imposes whatever they wish, by force. Because morality untethered to anything but personally inclination, you are really saying, morality is what the powerful say it is.
