Some pro lifers oppose contraception but very, very few. This tired old argument has been regurgitated since at least the 70’s. Anyone with a basic grasp of anatomy/reproductive biology understands the difference between a fertilized egg (a new life) and the process of how said new life comes into being. Prolifers are fighting for a new human life. A small number, statistically, of others object to contraception for moral, sociological or religious reasons. It is two completely different motivations. In the early days, the modern prolife movement was largely led by the Catholic Church and was based in the religious notion that set was for the purpose of bringing children into the family. Most other prolifers simply wanted to protect the unborn. The modern pro life movement is no longer much concerned with banning contraception. Even most practicing Catholics use birth control. >>692078
