I haven't been able to find much written about them from the perspective of the abusers. However they're prevalent symbols in abuse victims. (Pic related)
Doing an image searched for memes brought up porn mixed in and it [activated the almonds.]
It's about corrupting the symbol and what it means to the survivor.
(((They))) know it means something to survivors, so they try to get more mileage out of the pain.
Which is why, when you search for memes on help for sexual assault, you get hit with porn mixed in. It's a double whammy to remind the survivor.
