PTSD is more like wildly uncontrolled triggers which are so strong that the normal desensitization techniques can't be used. Otherwise they would jus fire bullets and shells near a PTSD patient for a week or two and they'd be all cured. Also, there is a physical component of PTSD caused by concussions from explosions.
The trauma effects you talk about are more likely DID and not PTSD.
I don't see anything hitting the bridge. It just collapsed all on its own. This has to be weak steel or gross incompetence.
You can see some piece of the crane machinery fall down and hit the bridge AFTER the collapse. I expect they saw that on the ground and assumed that it fell and caused the collapse.

However what is real is the demon ritual persona hiding inside them that only gets to come out when it is triggered as part of the regular rituals of human sacrifice and blood drinking. If they are being blocked from holding these rituals, the repressed demon persona can destabilize the whole person.
