I wonder if it was the 'Cave's of Milatos' high up in the hills of Crete? Was there in 1999. Amazing. There was a chapel built just inside the main entrance to the cave by the locals to remember the dead from the joint British/Turkish forces of 1880 something. The story was that the woman and children were sent to hide in the caves while the men fought the forces on the beaches. They lost. The 'alliance' then went to the caves and slaughtered every single woman and children they found. There bones are still there today. There is no statue or plaque at the site of this mass murder stating what has just been told. One of the locals had written the story on a bit of cardboard under a rock to let people know the truth. I read it. Never forgot it. Anyway, a place where great evil has occured would be a perfect place to ritually kill a woman who could help cure the coming genetically modified plagues.
