i wrote this in july:

in june comey told everyone clinton was guilty but didn't recommend that she be put on trial. if comey is a good guy and he wanted clinton to pay for her crimes, he had to know that recommending she be prosecuted by the corrupt/partisan/criminal obama DOJ would've rendered an innocent verdict. then right before the election he reopened the case because new evidence "came to light" and he had a "duty to inform". even if the obama DOJ hadn't been corrupt, absolute chaos would've ensued if she was put on trial days before the election. so he gave the "wink wink" to the voters essentially saying "don't elect this bitch, she's a criminal" and then quickly closed the case before election day.

then after the election some crafty leaks and misdirections were made that caused everyone to think that comey was anti-trump, including his bizarre testimony before the senate intelligence committee. hell, i fell for it too.

during this time everyone in washington and the media knew about the dossier but hadn't reported on it because the document was so outlandish and comical that nobody would attribute any credibility to it.

eventually comey briefed trump on the dossier which gave the media the hook it needed to report on the document. before this briefing the press was unable to verify a single detail about the dossier, so nobody would even mention its existence. however, once the head of the FBI briefed the president-elect about it, then it became reportable news. suddenly it wasn't too difficult to find a reporter that would publish the document itself and it was comey's action moved things along.

if not for comeys actions

  1. buzzfeed would not have published the dossier that has led us to Fusion GPS

  2. mueller likely would not have been made head of a special council (remember his letters leaked to the fbi)
