I'm almost positive the baker at that point was a bot.
The baking was so bad that people started complaining about it to BO trying to get him to force a new baker.
Rather than forcing a new baker (((BO))) decided to make this place more hostile to anons by forcing diggers to watch 2 breads in order to ensure their digs aren't corrupted.
