I wonder if Name could be auto-filled in db via valid trip. Correct password auto fills trip field and name field. Or, replace Name field with anonymous for any attempted db write of a reply without valid trip.

Couldn't you just take the name (and maybe subject fields) out of the post reply form? If the post reply form is 8 Chan wide, then it wouldn't fly, but if it is editable on a board by board basis I think you could do it. Just comment out those lines?
