Key Mueller Witness Indicted On Child Sex-Trafficking Charges

George Nader, a Lebanese-American businessman who was a key witness in the special counsel’s probe, was charged earlier in July with transporting a 14-year-old European boy to the U.S. for sex, according to an indictment unsealed Friday. Nader was charged on three counts, including a charge for possessing child pornography and one for traveling with a minor to engage in illegal sexual activity. He is accused of transporting the teenage boy from Europe to his home in the U.S. in 2000.

The indictment, which was handed down July 3, comes on top of one unsealed in June against Nader, who was a longtime adviser to the crown prince of the United Arab Emirates. Nader played a key role in setting up a meeting in January 2017 between defense contractor Erik Prince and the head of Russia’s direct investment fund in the Seychelles. Nader also met during the presidential transition period with Jared Kushner, and worked closely with Elliot Broidy, a former top Republican fundraiser who is reportedly under investigation for bribery and money laundering. In August 2016, Nader offered help to the Trump campaign during a meeting at Trump Tower with Donald Trump Jr. and Prince.

Nader, 60, was interviewed multiple times during the special counsel’s investigation, all but one time under a proffer agreement with prosecutors. Nader is mentioned approximately 120 times in the special counsel’s report, but there is no mention of his long history of alleged child sex crimes.

Nader was arrested June 3 on charges that he transported images of child sex abuse victims. Investigators found 12 videos on Nader’s cell phone allegedly showed children between the ages of three and 14 being sexually abused. One of the videos allegedly showed a teenage boy engaged in a disturbing sexual activity with a goat. Nader was initially detained Jan. 17, 2018, but he was not charged until three months later.

Nader was indicted in Washington, D.C., in 1984 on child pornography charges. According to The Daily Beast, which first reported the new indictment against Nader, he was arrested in 1990 after being found with videos of young boys. He pleaded guilty the following year. He was convicted in the Czech Republic in 2002 of sexually abusing 10 underage boys. He served one year in prison. According to the Post, an assistant U.S. attorney said in court Friday that a witness from the Czech Republic may testify against Nader at trial. Nader pleaded not guilty to the charges in court in Virginia on Friday.

Palm Beach Sheriff Launches Investigation Into Epstein ‘Work Release’ Deal

The Florida sheriff who oversaw a work-release agreement for sexual offender Jeffrey Epstein in 2008 has launched an internal review of his department’s handling of the case. Sheriff Ric Bradshaw said Friday he has ordered an internal review of the department’s handling of Epstein, specifically the work release policy, the Miami Herald reported. “Sheriff Bradshaw takes these matters very seriously and wants to determine if any actions taken by the deputies assigned to monitor Epstein during his work release program violated any agency rules and regulations, during the time he was on PBSO work release program,” he said in a statement.

Epstein is accused of sex trafficking in charges filed in New York. He was sentenced to 18 months in a county jail in 2008 as part of a non-prosecution agreement with the federal government. But the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Department allowed him to leave the jail for 12 hours a day, six days a week, and let him out five months early on parole — a decision that appears to violate department policy and has drawn intense scrutiny in the renewed focus on Epstein. Epstein agreed to plead guilty in Florida to two prostitution offenses, make payments to victims and register as a sex offender in exchange for the government agreeing not to indict him federally for trafficking underage girls. New scrutiny of the deal prompted by a series of investigative reports from the Miami Herald late last year led to the resignation of Alex Acosta — the federal prosecutor who made the deal — from his post as President Donald Trump’s labor secretary last week.

Trump Offers Important Insight On A$AP Rocky Situation

President Trump is aware of the A$AP Rocky situation as he commented on the music star’s current imprisonment in Sweden during questioning by the press and admitted that First Lady Melania Trump informed him of the problem. This is a huge development in the current A$AP Rocky situation as it’s the first time the president has openly confirmed his knowledge of the situation. Now it’s time to get involved. Trump said a lot of his “black friends” have also reached out to him to try and return the rapper to the United States by any means necessary.

Trump’s short insight was then followed by the First Lady’s assessment of the situation, and she assured the country that they hope to bring the star back home very shortly. Sweden better look out because now that the president is fully caught up, I expect some sort of release of the star to come shortly. This would be a major victory for Trump if he can pull this off, and it looks like he is on track to try and negotiate something out with Sweden. When it looked like A$AP was struggling to receive any positive news, the president and first lady came out and show ed their overwhelming support of him. This story is heating up as the closer we get to the eventual release of A$AP. With Donald and Melania pairing up to solve this critical issue, I expect this to be a priority for the White House moving forward.
