About deicide, ie killing Jesus, and whether the jews are to blame.

The jews are often accused of killing Jesus. It is true the sanhedrin sentenced Him unjustly. It is also true the jews who were given the choice to let Him go free or Bar Abbas, chose to let Bar Abbas go free. It is even true those jews said "let his blood come over us and over our children". So it seems the jews can be partly blamed for his death. Partly, for non-jews also had a role.

However, while He was being killed, Jesus said "Father forgive them for they don't know what they are doing".

It is unimaginable that the Father would not honour this request of His Son spoken at that moment.

Therefore it is an abomination if we still blame the jews, and even more so if we single them out.

Every christian is aware he is a sinner, and every christian acknowledges he himself is therefore to blame for Jesus' death. Every christian who singles out the jews to blame them for it, is either deluded or fake.

To repeat this accusation, to repeat this lie, is a vile thing to do.

Not only is it unjust towards the jews, it is also unjust towards christians, for it is presented as a christian view while it utterly isn't. In this way it creates division where it needs not be.

Jews seek justness, so do christians, that's core. The essential difference between both is whether Jesus is acknowledged as Messiah or not, that's also core, and we can discuss that. The rest of our differences depends thereon. It is disgusting to put this false accusation between us to muddle the waters and hinder people to find out the truth.
