POTUS has suffered no polling or other repercussions from the tweet or the chant, and thus the Media and the Dems are going to try to keep working until they can do some actual damage.
This goes along with the Virginia Dems saying they will boycott an event celebrating the Jamestown anniversary next week (I think) if POTUS shows up.
I feel POTUS is handling this unforeseen matter as well as can be expected. He’s placating both sides (“you’re racist” people and those on the side of the chanters), and continuing to hit at The Squad as he does so.
The Dems are currently down to two core issues they are using to attack POTUS (not counting Mueller here, which I think is a dead issue for them):
– Race Card
– Kids In Cages
This is all they have currently. Nothing else.
The reason why Michelle Obama did the tweet the other day is not only is POTUS taking away the Race Card (the core element of all Obama strategies), he’s essentially flipping it and turning it into the Patriotism Card. That’s doom for the Dems, and they know it.
Thus, persons who would usually play the victim with the Race Card (Squad) are instead put under scrutiny using the Patriotism Card.
It’s a brilliant, winning move by POTUS. All the Dems and the Media — including Team Obama — know checkmate is near if Trump pulls this off. Hence the exaggerated, panicked reaction by Michelle and others to what Trump is doing.
We’re in great shape. Just need the MAGA crowds to stay tight and things should be locked-up in short order. POTUS is good. He only made his ‘bad’ tweet to set up The Squad as the villain. That is done and over, so he can move on from there.
