you need an IRC client like mirc or hexchat, or irssi if you're on linux, I use hexchat on windows and irssi on linux. It'll ask which server, and you go to undernet, then you /join #americapolitics … I used to chat in this channel 15 years ago, it has been around for a long time, couldn't believe it was still kicking when someone posted it yesterday.
