This is the scariest stuff I have read all day. Vannevar Bush was the head of the OSRD which was the precursor to DARPA. This guy operated pretty much unchecked over all reasearch including military and Eugenics. He created the machines for war and got rich from Raytheon the supplyer. He seems to have rose thru the ranks using others as stepping stones, profiting from other peoples research.
