Stephen Miller SLAMS Radical Squad Leader AOC: “I’m a Jew… I Am Profoundly Outraged by the Comments of Ocasio-Cortez”

Two weeks ago radical “squad” leader Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez accused the US of setting up “concentration camps” on the border.

The outspoken freshman Democrat is completely illiterate on history and insulted memory of 6 million Jews who were murdered in the Nazi concentration camps.

On Sunday White House Adviser Stephen Miller slammed the radical socialist over her outrageous remarks.

Stephen Miller: “I’m a Jew. As a Jew, as an American Jew, I am profoundly outraged by the comments from Ocasio-Cortez. It minimizes the death of Six Million of my Jewish brothers and sisters … it minimizes their suffering.”

Good for him!

Why Big Data Keeps Getting Bigger

The sun never sets on the creation of new data.

Yes, the rate of generation may slow down at night as people send fewer emails and watch fewer videos. But for every person hitting the hay, there is another person on the opposite side of the world that is turning their smartphone on for the day.

As a result, the scale of data being generated—even when we look at it through a limited lens of one minute at a time—is quite mind-boggling to behold.

The Data Explosion, by Source

Today’s infographic comes to us from Domo, and it shows the amount of new data generated each minute through several different platforms and technologies.

Let’s start by looking at what happens every minute from a broad perspective:

Americans use 4,416,720 GB of internet data

There are 188,000,000 emails sent

There are 18,100,000 texts sent

There are 390,030 apps downloaded

Now lets look at platform-specific data on a per minute basis:

Giphy serves up 4,800,000 gifs

Netflix users stream 694,444 hours of video

Instagram users post 277,777 stories

Youtube users watch 4,500,000 videos

Twitter users send 511,200 tweets

Skype users make 231,840 calls

Airbnb books 1,389 reservations

Uber users take 9,772 rides

Tinder users swipe 1,400,000 times

Google conducts 4,497,420 searches

Twitch users view 1,000,000 videos

Imagine being given the task to build a server infrastructure capable of handling any of the above items. It’s a level of scale that’s hard to comprehend.

Also, imagine how difficult it is to make sense of this swath of data. How does one even process insights from the many billions of Youtube videos watched per day?

Why Big Data is Going to Get Even Bigger

The above statistics are already mind-bending, but consider that the global total of internet users is still growing at roughly a 9% clip. This means the current rate of data creation is still just scratching the surface of its ultimate potential.

In fact, as We Are Social’s recent report on internet usage reveals, a staggering 367 million new internet users were added in between January 2018 and January 2019:

Trying to consolidate some power after getting hit hard with Brexit, buy off???

EU Prepares Significant Aid Package for Ireland

Senior Irish politicians and diplomats have held talks with at least two of Boris Johnson's cabinet allies in recent days, Reuters reported, citing the Sunday Times newspaper. The European Union is secretly pushing Johnson to create a new Brexit plan in a bid to avoid a no-deal divorce with the United Kingdom, according to local media.

According to the media report, German and French officials, as well as the Dutch and Belgian governments, have also established contact with Johnson's team and reportedly signaled an intention to strike a deal.

Meanwhile, the European Commission is drawing up a multibillion-pound aid package for Ireland to offset the possible economic damage of a potential no-deal Brexit, Reuters reported Monday, citing The Times newspaper.

According to the UK-based media, quoting a senior EU diplomat, Brussels would "spend whatever was necessary" to support the Irish government through any disruption of trade, Reuters said.

The Times report, however, did not specify the exact amount of the possible aid package, according to Reuters.

New UK prime minister will be announced on Tuesday after some 160,000 Conservative Party members vote to choose between Johnson and UK Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt. Earlier, Johnson has said that if he becomes the prime minister, he would push for the United Kingdom to leave the European Union on 31 October either with or without a deal.

The Irish border issue has been a stumbling block in the EU-UK Brexit talks. In November, Brussels and London agreed on the Brexit deal, including the so-called backstop that would be put into practice if the sides failed to agree on all the terms of their relationship by the end of the Brexit transition period.

However, the United Kingdom was unable to leave the European Union on 29 March, as originally intended, because the withdrawal deal had been voted down by the UK lawmakers. The European Council gave the United Kingdom an extension until 31 October, with an option to leave earlier if the UK parliament passes the deal.

The failure of the deal led to the resignation of UK Prime Minister Theresa May who has spent the last two years seeking a compromise Brexit deal.

On Monday, the Tory leadership rivals, Boris Jonson and Jeremy Hunt, declared that the Northern Ireland backstop was "dead" and promised to exclude it from any withdrawal deal they would negotiate with the European Union.

However, Brussels will not reportedly accept any plans to axe the Irish border backstop from the withdrawal agreement with London.

As Trump Backs Down, the Pips Squeak

Last week it was all fire and brimstone. The US was threatening more sanctions on Iran, the Brits were seizing oil tankers and Iran was violating the JCPOA.

This week things look different all of a sudden. An oil tanker goes dark while passing through the Strait of Hormuz, the story fails to get any real traction and the US allows Iranian Foreign Minister, recently sanctioned, to do his job at the United Nations.

Trump then holds a cabinet meeting where he reiterates that “We’re not looking for regime change. We want them out of Yemen.”

I thought National Security Advisor John Bolton said the US would apply pressure until “the pips squeak.”

Where the pips are squeaking is on the Arabian Peninsula, not across the Persian Gulf in Bandar Abbas. Specifically, I’m talking about the United Arab Emirates. The UAE sent a delegation to Tehran recently that coincided with its partial withdrawal of troops from Yemen.

That meeting, according to Elijah Magnier, focused on Emirates realizing they are in the middle of this conflict, up to their skyscrapers.

“The UAE would like to avoid seeing their country transformed into a battlefield between the US and Iran in case of war, particularly if Trump is re-elected. The Emirates officials noted that the US did not respond to Iran’s retaliation in the Gulf and in particularly when the US drone was downed. This indicates that Iran is prepared for confrontation and will implement its explicit menace, to hit any country from which the US carries out their attacks on Iran. We want to be out of all this”, an Emirates official told his Iranian counterpart in Tehran.

Iran promised to talk to the Yemeni officials to avoid hitting targets in Dubai and Abu Dhabi as long as the UAE pulls out its forces from the Yemen and stops this useless war. Saudi Crown Prime Mohammad Bin Salman is finding himself without his main Emirates ally, caught in a war that is unwinnable for the Saudi regime. The Yemeni Houthis have taken the initiative, hitting several Saudi strategic targets. Saudi Arabia has no realistic objectives and seems to have lost the appetite to continue the war in Yemen.

So, with the Houthis successfully striking major targets inside Saudi Arabia and the UAE abruptly pulling forces out, the war in Yemen has reached a critical juncture. Remember, the Republican-controlled Senate approved a bill withdrawing support for the war back in March, which the White House had to veto in support of its fading hopes for its Israeli/Palestinian deal pushed by Jared Kushner.

But things have changed significantly since then as that deal has been indefinitely postponed with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu facing a second election this fall after he failed to secure a stable coalition.

After that there was the failed economic conference in Bahrain in June where Kushner revealed the economic part of the plan to a half-empty room where only the backers of the plan showed any real support.

And that’s the important part of this story, because it was Kushner’s plan which was the impetus for all of this insane anti-Iran belligerence in the first place. Uniting the Gulf states around a security pact leveraging the U.S/Israeli/Saudi alliance was part of what was supposed to pressure the Palestinians to the bargaining table.

By placing maximum economic sanctions on both Hezbollah in Lebanon and Iran while continuing to foment chaos in Syria was supposed to force Israel’s enemies to fold under the pressure which would, in turn, see the Palestinians surrender to the will of Kushner and Bibi.

Deutsche Bank Collapse Could Crash Global Financial Markets

German financial services giant Deutsche Bank AG is one of the largest and most important economic institutions in the world. Mainly due to self-imposed scandals, the bank is now having to taking drastic measures to stay afloat. Investors everywhere should note that if such a critical piece of the too-big-to-fail banking system falters, it could trigger another global financial crisis.

Deutsche Bank Struggles to Survive

Deutsche Bank AG, the largest banking services group in Germany with well over a trillion dollars worth of assets under management, has been a major source of concern for international investors, economists and policy makers for more than two years now. In fact, the International Monetary Fund called the bank in 2016 “the most important net contributor to systemic risks” to the global financial system. That same year, various financial publications around the world also started warning that Deutsche might be the “next Lehman Brothers,” referring to the investment bank whose collapse is considered to be a major part of starting the 2008 global financial crisis.

Now the German bank appears to be struggling again, with some commentators fearing it will not be able to survive. Just this month it was announced that Deutsche will undergo a major reorganization in order to stop the bleeding. As was widely reported, the restructuring process of the company will include downsizing about a fifth of its employees around the world, approximately 18,000-20,000 people. Additionally it was revealed that Deutsche will cut its investment in information technology by over a billion dollars per year, a move that will hinder it from catching up with competitors or being able to face new challengers in the fintech domain. Moreover, there are also reports in the market that some institutional investment funds are pulling out their assets from the bank, which might signal a lack of trust in the success of the reorganization efforts.

Costly Scandals and Billions in Fines

Before we ponder how the situation might unfold, let’s review how Deutsche Bank got to its current state. Over the last few years it has been involved in a number of scandals such as facilitating money laundering which cost the bank a fortune in legal expenses, reputational damage and massive fines. Its stock is now trading at a 30-year low, having lost over 70% in value since 2007. The bank also suffered frequent changes at the top because of this, replacing CEOs and other top executives at an alarming rate for a company of its kind in its industry. In November 2018, its headquarters were even raided by law enforcement officers and representatives of the German tax authority.

The myriad of legal troubles it’s faced have cost Deutsche Bank an incredible amount of money in the last few years. For example, in April 2015 it had to agree to pay a combined $2.5 billion in fines to American and British authorities for its involvement in the Libor scandal, where several banks were accused of colluding to fix interest rates widely used around the world. And in January 2017, Deutsche reached a $7.2 billion settlement with the U.S. Justice Department over its sale and pooling of toxic mortgage securities. In total, Deutsche Bank has paid more than €12 billion for litigation since 2012.

74 Palestinians injured in clashes with Israeli soldiers in eastern Gaza

GAZA, July 19 (Xinhua) – A total of 74 Palestinian demonstrators were injured during clashes with Israeli soldiers in the eastern Gaza Strip on Friday, the Health Ministry in Gaza said.

Among the injured were two journalists and four field paramedics, a ministry report said, adding 36 were injured by Israeli soldiers' gunfire.

According to local media, around 6,000 demonstrators gathered on Friday afternoon in eastern Gaza close to the border with Israel.

It was the 67th weekly anti-Israel protest, better known as the Great March of Return rally which started in late March last year.

Demonstrators burned dozens of Israeli flags, chanted slogans against Israel and the United States, waved Palestinian flags and threw stones at Israeli soldiers stationed on the border between the eastern Gaza Strip and Israel.

In response, Israeli soldiers fired dozens of tear gas canisters and opened fire at the demonstrators to keep them away from the border fence, local media said.

Ahmad Bahar, a senior Hamas leader who joined the protest, told reporters that burning the Israeli flags is symbolic of the Palestinian opposition to the normalization with the occupier.

"Burning the occupier's flags is a message and a lesson to all those who are normalizing ties with the occupier," said Bahar.

Israeli soldiers have shot dead 306 Palestinian demonstrators and injured 17,000 others since the start of the weekly protests last year, according to the Health Ministry in Gaza.

FBI shines light on now shut down "human chop shop" in Phoenix

PHOENIX — Several years have passed since Biological Resource Center shut its doors, but new court documents detail the hidden horrors investigators found inside.

Former FBI Assistant Special Agent Mark Cwynar's testimony says he observed buckets of head, arms and legs inside the building off 24th street and University Drive.

Cwynar also said he saw a cooler filled with male genitalia, body parts piled on top of each other with no apparent identification to indicate what bodies they came from, even a torso "with the head removed and replaced with a similar head sewn together in a Frankenstein manner."

The Federal Bureau of Investigations raided the Phoenix based body-donor facility in 2014, after allegations that the company was selling parts of those donated bodies for profit.

At least eight families say they donated their loved ones bodies to the facility for medical research, but are now suing the company and its owner, Stephen Gore, for mishandling their corpses, and failing to meet the promises made in their consent forms.

Gore pleaded guilty, and was sentenced to probation.

Gore will appear in court in October to face several Arizona families who've filed civil suits against him and BRC.

New Jersey lawmakers are trying to amend the state’s discrimination laws to equate criticism of Israel with antisemitism

Lawmakers in New Jersey have introduced an antisemitism bill that would prohibit certain criticism of Israel in public schools and universities. The proposed legislation comes on the heels of similar bills being passed in South Carolina and Florida. Last year, the Department of Education adopted a new definition of antisemitism to include criticism of Israel.

SB 4001 was introduced on June 24 by Senate President Stephen Sweeney and Sen. Robert Singer. It aims to ensure that antisemitism is treated the same way as other forms of discrimination by amending state law. However, the bill equates criticism of Israel with antisemitism in a number of places including:

-[D]emonizing Israel by using the symbols and images associated with classic anti-Semitism to characterize Israel or Israeli people, drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis, or blaming Israel for all interreligious or political tensions;

-[A]pplying a double standard to Israel by requiring behavior of Israel that is not expected or demanded of any other democratic nation, or focusing peace or human rights investigations only on Israel; and

-[D]elegitimizing Israel by denying the Jewish people their right to self-determination and denying Israel the right to exist.

In fact, the bill states that criticism of Israel can only avoid being considered antisemitic if “it is similar to criticism toward any other country.”

A group of 13 human rights groups (including Jewish Voice for Peace, the Center for Constitutional Rights, and the Council on American-Islamic Relations) have sent a letter to the New Jersey Education Senate Committee urging lawmakers to reject the legislation:

We write to raise concerns with S. 4001/A. 5755, an Act prohibiting anti-Semitism in public schools and institutions of higher education (the Act), which fails to achieve this goal. The Act codifies a widely contested redefinition of antisemitism that includes protected speech critical of Israel.2 This vague and overbroad redefinition in the Act conflates political criticism of Israel with anti-Jewish hate, encouraging infringements on constitutionally protected speech related to a human rights movement, and undermining the fight against real antisemitism.

Indeed, in our experience defending civil rights on college campuses, we have seen firsthand how the redefinition that the Act would codify has been used as a tool to silence students, faculty, and staff who advocate for Palestinian rights.3 This experience makes clear that the primary aim of this bill is to censor First Amendment-protected criticism of Israeli government policies and speech calling for freedom, justice, and equality for Palestinians. It invites New Jersey schools and universities to violate free speech rights by discriminating against certain viewpoints and chilling one side of an important political debate.

The Democrats show us the politics of ClownWorld

And so the four horsepeople-of-color arise, at once the glorious avatars of Wokesterdom in all their incendiary wrath, and the butt of ridicule among a pretty big chunk of everybody else in this land. I speak of congresswomen Omar, Tlaib, Pressley, and AOC, a.k.a. “the Squad,” riding a reconn mission to the precipice of that great cliff of electoral catastrophe — in advance of the political party that is apt to follow them over the edge in 2020, like so many suicidal lemmings.

Charges of “racism” have been twanging around the Federal District all week as if a throng of medieval re-enactors had taken over the place and were putting on a colorful pageant about ergot poisoning, with the townspeople afflicted by creeping incubi, crawling succubi, winged demons, murderous furies, and other agents of Satan. I have often noted that our president is the genuine article of a supernatural figure himself, being both a Golden Golem of Greatness and a Twitter troll of the highest degree. Last week, the four Squad gals pointed their fingers and ululated at him — “racist! racist! —expecting perhaps that a bolt from on-high might strike him dead, but it only prompted him to more keyboard villainy, challenging them to fly back to whatever infernal hellhole they came out of. For three of them it was the good ol’ USA, parts of which are, let’s face it, rather hellhole-ish these days.

The American race hustle is getting kind of old and it’s a sure loser for the Democratic Party. Why they can’t move beyond it and engage with the many other mighty matters of our time is one of those abiding mysteries of life, like why the birdies sing, or why the Mets can’t get decent relief pitching. I daresay that in my lifetime this country has bent over backwards to assist, accommodate, and uplift the demographic that styles itself nowadays as people-of-color. None of that has managed to abolish significant economic inequality. But, really, what else can be done? Spend trillions more promoting fatherless households? (The Wokesters might like that, seeing as how much they detest people of the male persuasion.)

Egyptian President Prolongs State of Emergency for 3 Months

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Sisi signed a decree to prolong the state of emergency across the country for three months, local media reported. The presidential decision was reportedly supported by the country’s parliament and will enter into force starting from Thursday.

The decree says that the Armed Forces and police must do everything possible to fight terrorism and its financial sources as well as protect people’s lives and property, the MENA news agency reported on late Sunday.

The state of emergency was declared in Egypt in April 2017 after the terror attacks on Christian churches in the cities of Tanta and Alexandria, which left more than 50 people killed and 100 injured.

Islamist insurgents have long been targeting security forces in Egypt and particularly in the Sinai Peninsula. Egypt has been conducting a massive security operation in North Sinai for over a year to weed out armed groups, killing and arresting hundreds of militants.

Most recently, a suicide bomber reportedly killed a soldier on Thursday in an attack on security forces in the North Sinai. A man wearing an explosive belt approached security forces near a parking lot in the city of Sheikh Zuweid, prompting the troops to open fire. The bombing attack was reportedly claimed by the Daesh terrorist group.

North Sinai has been swept by the ongoing conflict between Islamist fighters, and Egyptian police and security forces since 2011. Militants have repeatedly staged attacks in the region, targeting law enforcement and civilians.

Over the weekend, the UK British Airways carrier and German airline company Lufthansa have temporarily suspended flights to the Egyptian capital of Cairo as a precaution for security reasons after the UK Foreign Office had advised passengers against air travel to and from Egypt's Sharm el-sheikh but had not issued a similar warning on Cairo.

Russia suspended all civilian air traffic to Egypt in November 2015 after a bomb brought down a Russian plane en route from Sharm El-Sheikh to St. Petersburg, killing all 224 people on board.

Flights between the Russian and the Egyptian capitals were resumed in April 2018 after the Egyptian authorities made the desired improvements to security.

Report Finds The Average Person Swallows The Plastic Equivalent Of A Credit Card Every Week

We consume plastic every day. And that quantity is growing as each day we let our planet get inundated in a plastic tide. The thick bed of plastic floating on the sea; the beasts and birds choking to death on plastic; it all used to be a part of the dining table conversation. And then suddenly we find that it is a part of our diet. We are surrounded by plastic and almost all of the food that the modern man consumes is either packed in plastic or has plastic mixed in it, in some form of the other.

Already, the quantity is alarming. WWF, the global environment charity has put the quantity at 5 grams, the weight of a credit card. The alarming news focuses on the extent to which this pollution has spread.

The study initiated by the University of Newcastle, Australia, concluded that the average person is consuming more than 2000 bits of plastic less than 1 mm every week, which adds up to 250 grams a year. Almost 90% of that comes from drinking water, both tap and bottled.

Seafood is the worst affected segment where direct consumption of plastic is the norm. Shellfish lovers eat up to 11,000 fragments of plastic in their seafood every year. Even if we absorb 1% of all that enters our body, it still is quite a significant quantity. A third of the fish caught off the UK had plastic in it.

The plastic serving at the dinner table starts with the ubiquitous salt pot. It is usually made of plastic and now it contains some too. And so does your beer. European tap water has a generous share of plastic with every litre containing at least 4 plastic fibres.

Increased awareness of the presence of microplastics and the harm it causes has also thrown up this alarming statistic; an accurate calculation of the amount of plastic that we ingest.

Plastic has littered the bottom of the Mariana Trench, the deepest place on earth; it is there at its highest point up there on Mt. Everest. it has been found in Arctic sea ice and littered on the peaks of the remote French Pyrenees.

But what has alarmed people the most is the realization that they are ingesting it too. And there is no way they can avoid it.

The study of the effects of ingesting plastic is still in its nascent stages. The long term effects are unknown. Respiratory distress caused by inhalation of plastic fibers and inflammation of respiratory tracts is known. Some chemicals like bisphenol-A(BPA) and phthalates are potential carcinogens. Reproductive malformations and developmental disorders can also occur.

The convenience of plastic in our lives is slowly being superseded by the nuisance of plastic, especially when we are being forced to ingest them. No nation is immune to the problem, so no section of the social strata is above the nuisance. The steps taken so far have been perfunctory at best. Banning the use of plastic bags or restricting the use of straw is okay for the media. But unless a total control of the production of plastic is initiated at a global level as in the case of green gases, let’s continue to have plastic as a side dish and perhaps as a main course in a few decades.

Steve Bannon, China, and the Committee on the Present Danger 4.0

Steve Bannon is making himself useful. According to The New York Times, he has rekindled the paranoiac fire that fed the Cold War military-industrial complex and stoked red hysteria far and wide.

Fear of China has spread across President Trump’s Washington. Just one example: The Committee on the Present Danger, a long-defunct group that campaigned against the dangers of the Soviet Union, has been revived, with help from Stephen Bannon. https://t.co/NEdoPWCKmm

— The New York Times (@nytimes) July 20, 2019

This is the fourth iteration of the Committee on the Present Danger. The first committee was originally formed in 1950 and produced the founding document of the manufactured Cold War—NSC-68, written by Paul Nitze.

He later wrote the Gaither Report. It argued that “nuclear deterrence”—including the insane idea of a nuclear first strike—was more important than protecting the public from a nuclear war through diplomacy, treaty, and the concept of Mutually Assured Destruction. Members of Nitze’s anti-detente group ended up in the Reagan administration.

Following Bush’s Afghanistan and Iraq invasions and the commencement of the never-ending war on terror, the third CPD was formed and began a process of neoconization with the inclusion of Joe Lieberman, former CIA boss James Woolsey, neocon ideologue Laurie Mylroie, neocon founder Norman Podhoretz, Islamophobe Frank Gaffney, AEI adjunct fellow Danielle Pletka, and other associates of the American Enterprise Institute, Heritage Foundation, American-Israel Public Affairs Committee, and the Boeing Company (see this web archived page).

The fourth and current iteration was established in March. It includes Bannon. The vice-chairman, remarkably, is the fringe neocon Frank Gaffney. CFR member and Claremont Institute fellow Mark Helprin, former CIA spook Clare Lopez, the aforementioned Woolsey, and Jianli Yang are also members. Yang is a mascot of sorts for the revived CPD’s anti-China agenda. He is said to be a survivor of the Tiananmen Square Massacre of 1989.

From the current CPD website:

“The Committee on the Present Danger: China” is a wholly-independent and non-partisan effort to educate and inform American citizens and policymakers about the existential threats presented from the Peoples Republic of China under the misrule of the Chinese Communist Party. Its purpose is to explain these threats that range from: the PRC’s accelerating military buildup; its active information and political warfare that targets the American people and our business, political and media elites; cyber warfare; and, economic warfare.

In other words, the latest CPD is little different than its predecessors. It is primarily a propaganda apparatus to transition the forever war state away from past enemies—the Soviet Union, Islamic terrorism—and focus hysteria on a new and much more formidable enemy.

Thus the need for even more military spending and the manufacture of outrageously expensive weapons systems—the F-35 boondoggle, Hellfire missiles, expeditionary seas bases, space-based weapons, missile systems galore, littoral combat ships, attack helicopters, etc., ad nauseam.

Trump’s next trade war target: Vietnam

Southeast Asian nation has dramatically whipsawed between US-China trade war winner to potential next big tariffed loser

The popular consensus is that Vietnam has been one of the world’s biggest US-China trade war winners, as global supply chains shift production away from tariff-hit China and towards the low-cost Southeast Asian nation.

That upshot, one that may have added as much as 8% to Vietnam’s gross domestic product (GDP) according to one bank’s research, has apparently already run its full course as US President Donald Trump slaps new punitive tariffs on Hanoi’s exports.

In May, Vietnam was added to the US Treasury Department’s list of possible currency manipulators, a designation that could result in punitive measures if proved. That threat presaged this month’s imposition of a whopping new 400% US duty on Vietnamese steel imports that originate from South Korea and Taiwan.

The US could next slap punitive tariffs on certain Vietnamese imports based on allegations Hanoi is allowing Chinese-made products to be rebranded as Vietnamese goods before export to the US to circumvent tariffs on China, a process officials refer to as “transshipment.”

Some economists predict that, for instance, if the US moves to impose a 25% tariff on Vietnam’s exports, as it has done with China for reasons of national security, the move would cause Hanoi’s exports to fall by a quarter and shave off more than 1% from GDP.

That could be in the offing, analysts reckon, in light of Trump’s scathing comment last month that Hanoi was “almost the single worst abuser of everybody” in regard to trade and that “Vietnam takes advantage of us even worse than China.”

That critique was aimed at Vietnam’s high and rising trade surplus with the US, which hit a record US$40 billion last year, up slightly from 2017 and in spite of a concerted Vietnamese effort to buy more from the US.

Senior US team to visit Middle East for talks on Washington’s peace plan

Envoys Jared Kushner and Jason Greenblatt to visit Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, starting from next week

Senior US officials are set arrive in the region next week to further discuss the Trump administration’s forthcoming Israeli-Palestinian peace plan, a senior US official told The Times of Israel Sunday.

The US delegation includes US President Donald Trump’s senior adviser Jared Kushner, US special peace envoy Jason Greenblatt, Kushner’s senior aid Avi Berkowitz, and Brian Hook, the administration’s point man on Iran.

They are set to travel to Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, said the senior official, who asked not to be named, as he was not authorized to speak about the visit to press.

“The purpose of the visit is to follow up on the Bahrain workshop,” the official said, referring to last month’s “Peace to Prosperity” summit in Manama, during which the administration presented the economic part of its two-pronged peace proposal.

“We would like to finalize the plan’s economic portion, including to discuss the potential placement of the investments,” the official said, referring to the $50 billion investment packaged for the Palestinians and the wider region proposed by the plan.

The delegation’s trip is to be understood as the conclusion of the first stage of the peace plan’s unveiling, but not yet as the overture to the presentation of the political part, the official stresses.

Update: Obama Deep State Spy Stephan Halper Was Paid Over $1.05 Million — His Work Spying on Trump Officials Went Well Into 2017

It has been widely reported that the Obama administration had a spy working inside the Trump campaign.

As previously reported, in the fall of 2016, Pentagon analyst Adam Lovinger complained to his bosses about Trump campaign spy Stefan Halper’s exorbitant contracts.

The informant, Stefan Halper, was paid a total of $411,575 in 2016 and 2017 for work with the US government that included spying on the Trump campaign.

Internet sleuth Jacob Wohl discovered that Stefan Halper was paid $282,295 in September 2016 for “research and development in the social sciences and humanities.”

Another Twitter sleuth identified a second payment to Halper in the amount of $129,280 making the total payments to Halper more than $400,000 from President Obama’s Administration to spy on the future President of the United States.

Last Thursday Eric Felton reported at Real Clear Politics that Halper managed to collect $1.05 million from the the Department of Defense’s Office of Net Assessment over four years for work that appears to be barely supervised and of dubious value.

And previously reported Halper’s spying continued into 2017 after Trump was sworn into office. The deep state was still spying on Trump.

In the fall of 2016, 12-year Pentagon analyst and whistleblower Adam Lovinger complained to his bosses about Stefan Halper’s exorbitant contracts.

In May 2017 Adam Lovinger was stripped of his security clearance for speaking out against the questionable contracts to Stefan Halper.

The deep state is in no hurry to reveal more of Stephen Halper’s role in spying for Obama on the Trump campaign and administration.

In July 2018 top congressional Democrats wrote National Intelligence Director Dan Coats to demand the Trump administration keep classified information on Trump campaign spy Stefan Halper.
