makes me think of late prof charles hapgood and his book MAPS OF THE ANCIENT SEA KINGS. found evidence of an ancient tradition of accurate global mapping going back to end of last ice age.
contradicts history, would require sphereical trigonometry / technology level of at least late 1700's.
