Once they are in the trap, people die if they don't obey. So they have to obey. Do you think Padma had a choice? She has a child. The only way out for these people is if the owners and handlers stop using them. And the only way THAT happens..for them to stop using their people-tools, is if Anons watch and foil their game every time so that nothing they do, succeeds.
