Recognizing NewFags & Shills

1.) Remember, Newfags & Shills haven't been here very long. They feel compelled to qualify themselves and attempt to fit in. "Filter" is their main power word. It gives them a sense of power, being in control. Most old timers realize this is a futile and juvenile action, even more so when you must announce it to the board.

2.) As they start catching a few real Q posts, here or there, they feel as they've earned the right to elevate themselves above other newfags. They'll do this with catch phrases, such as "Lurk Moar" or "Go back to Reddit." It gives them a false sense of security and helps boost their ego, knowing that they're not as new as other fags. Since most of the genuine anons and oldfags pay them no mind, they qualify themselves as being accepted, because no one challenges them. It's an ego booster. Examples can be found on the classic "oldfag board."

.3) After hanging around this chan for a month or so, newfags and shills begin to feel like one of the group. They continue to qualify themselves by talking down to other anons who ask legitimate questions, or make relevant statements.

Ex: "Have you anons seen this?"

And they reply with such catch phrases as

"welcome to 30 threads ago" instead of -

Yes we've seen it, thanks anon. It's actually been around a while.

4.) When Q does appear, they begin flooding his posts with questions they should know, cannot be answered here, or why they cannot be answered by Q himself. They may even get frustrated that Q will not acknowledge him and call him LARPs or other such catch lingo they learn from the channel.

5.) "Monkey see, Monkey do" Since everything here is in text, newfags have precious little to on, than repeat the words and actions of others they see… again, catch phrases, such as "Lurk Moar" "You must be new here." "Filtered faggot!"

It's best to just ignore these newfags and if possible, gently guide them along and provide helpful information for them. After all, that is why we are here, not to fight among ourselves.

Shills will almost always post memes that make no sense, introduce topics, such as aliens, flat earth, nephilim, etc. They post porn memes, single out the most on-point anons and attack them unmercifully, trying to draw attention away from them or discredit them quickly before other anons catch on and start uncovering truths.
