Took some time off, if you will, only to return to find the descent into Fake-Q madness has only accelerated. Was this close [ ] to calling the game lost, but then McCabe was fired…was like a successful Hail-Mary at the close of halftime so I'm back for the third quarter.
I'll admit up front, the technical arguments in support of BO/CM scripting code as a counter-measure are over my pay-grade but, if I may, I want to offer my unsophisticated take on the situation. This is my only post for some time, so please don't dismiss as typical concern-fagging or sliding. It's just my one take, and I hope it's helpful in some way.
For those arguing for an algorithmic/coded 'solution,' I agree with the following point, though again, I understand responses have already been made and I don't understand what has been written. Perhaps someone can try explains in plain English. If the board was scripted to prevent the 'name' field from being used to look like Q's tripcode, or made to appear in another color, I don't understand how that wouldn't solve a lot of the problems. The main problem, taking that action is meant to address, is the argument that false Q posts will be posted on other platforms by normies who can't distinguish the bold lettering and a garbled message is what will spread.
On the other side. For those arguing against any measures other than self-filtering etc., I want to point out that I'm of the belief that those who keep arguing for proactive measures, and threatening to create filler bots, may very well be from the same glowing Clown-crowd utilizing the fake posts in the first place. In essence, the fake Q crowd have two venues of shitting up the bread, only to be assisted by those who respond to them (making three groups). It's high level manipulation and division-posting (pic related). Said pic stolen from another anon, and though over my head, I think it applies here.
Lastly, I want to point out we should not dismiss the notion that the fake Q posts might not, in some way, actually be helpful to the real Q team - if not written by them at times as to create the necessary disinfo Q has clearly mentioned ages ago. Others have called it 'plausible deniability.'
A course of action should be decided (in my opinion, do nothing until Q explicitly requests it), and all other pelican shitting, this post excluded, should be heavily discouraged. The back-and-forth seems to be taking a good portion of each bread, and thus, whether intentional or otherwise, the topic has become a major slide…bigger, in my opinion, than that of FE by an exponential magnitude. To those who argue that Q's latest post about 'trips' and 'whitelists' is a call to action, I say this. Confusion has clearly arisen as to the ambiguity of meaning surrounding the post.
Though it is said, 'the absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence,' in this case I don't think it's too much a stretch to say they are aware of said confusion and the silence is deafening.
