As an engineer, Dr. Miskell was a Naval Officer in nuclear submarines, one of which was the new Trident submarine, USS Michigan. After 13 years in the Navy, he joined NASA for a 10-year adventure, designing systems for the Shuttle and Space Station. Within that period, he earned his Ph.D. in psychology. Along the way he taught courses at Johns Hopkins University.
