BREAKING South Korea fighter jets fired hundreds of warning shots at Russian Tu-95 strategic bombers

South Korean warplanes fired hundreds of warning shots at a Russian military aircraft that entered South Korean airspace on Tuesday, defence officials said, while Russia denied violating any airspace and accused South Korean pilots of being reckless.

It was the first time a Russian military aircraft had violated South Korean airspace, an official at the South Korean Ministry of National Defence said in Seoul.

The incident, which also involved China and Japan, could complicate relations and raise tension in a region that has for years been over-shadowed by hostility between the United States and North Korea.

Two Russian Tu-95 bombers and two Chinese H-6 bombers entered the Korea Air Defence Identification Zone (KADIZ) together early on Tuesday, the South Korean defence ministry said.

A separate Russian A-50 airborne early warning and control aircraft later twice violated South Korean airspace over Dokdo – an island that is occupied by South Korea and also claimed by Japan, which calls it Takeshima – just after 9 a.m. (midnight GMT Monday), according to the South Korean military.

Russia’s defence ministry said two Tu-95 strategic bombers carried out a planned flight, but denied that they had violated South Korean airspace and said it did not recognise South Korea’s KADIZ.

There were no warning shots from the South Korean fighters, the Russian defence ministry said in a statement, which made no mention of any A-50 aircraft.

The Russian ministry said two South Korean F-16 fighter planes carried out “unprofessional manoeuvres,” crossing the path of Russian bombers and did not communicate with them.

China vows to help create a better world of peace and security

In a white paper released by the Ministry of National Defense on Wednesday, China vows to fulfill the international obligations of a major country with armed forces and promote international military cooperation in the new era.

The country will make efforts to strive for a better world of peace and security, as well as build a community with a shared future for mankind, according to the white paper.

China has always played a constructive role in political settlement of issues regarding regional hotspots such as the Korean Peninsula issue, the Iranian nuclear issue and Syrian issue, and has consistently opposed hegemony, unilateralism and double standards.

The white paper went on to say that China has been resolute in upholding the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, and participating in international arms control, disarmament and non-proliferation.

China is also actively developing constructive relationships with foreign militaries, in order to build a new-model of security partnership featuring equality, mutual trust and win-win cooperation.

In terms of major-country military relationships, China and Russia have developed exchange mechanisms at all levels, expanded cooperation in high-level exchanges, military training, equipment and counter-terrorism.

While handling its military relationship with the U.S., China has always maintained the principles of non-conflict, non-confrontation, mutual respect and win-win cooperation.

Regarding military relationships with its neighborhood, China has committed to building a community with a shared future, and endeavors to deepen military partnership.

China is also strengthening military exchanges and cooperation with European countries, as well as developing countries in Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean and the South Pacific.

Since 2012, China has held over 100 joint exercises and training scenarios with more than 30 countries, covering traditional and non-traditional security fields.

At the same time, China has played an active role in building regional security cooperation architectures. This includes co-founding the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), supporting the institutional development of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA), and participating in multilateral dialogues and cooperation mechanisms such as ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF), Shangri-La Dialogue, and Jakarta International Defense Dialogue.

China has also settled border issues with 12 of its 14 land neighbors and signed treaties to form good neighborliness, friendship and cooperation with eight countries on its periphery.

For instance, the militaries of China and India have exchanged high-level visits and pushed for a border defense cooperation hotline as well as other mechanisms for border management and defense exchanges.

China and ASEAN countries have also cooperated in building the South China Sea into a sea of peace, friendship and cooperation.

As the largest troop contributing country of UNSC, and a major contributor to the UN peacekeeping budget, China has been a supporter of UN peacekeeping operations.

As of December 2018, a total of 39,000 Chinese peacekeepers have participated in 24 missions, in which 13 personnel sacrificed their lives.

Besides, the country has played an active role in vessel protection operations, human assistance and disaster relief, as well as cooperated in counter-terrorism.

JudicialWatch Files House Ethics Complaint against Rep. Ilhan Omar Over Potential Immigration, Marriage, Tax, and Student Loan Fraud

JULY 23, 2019

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced today that it hand-delivered ethics complaint to Chairman of the U.S. House of Representatives Office of Congressional Ethics David Skaggs calling for a full investigation into potential crimes tied to allegations that Rep. Ilhan Omar may have married her biological brother.

“The evidence is overwhelming Rep. Omar may have violated the law and House rules. The House of Representatives must urgently investigate and resolve the serious allegations of wrongdoing by Rep. Omar,” stated Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “We encourage Americans to share their views on Rep. Omar’s apparent misconduct with their congressmen.”

The Judicial Watch complaint is reprinted below:

Ethics Complaint Against Rep. Ilhan Omar Concerning Possible Violations of Federal and State Law

Dear Chairman Skaggs,

Judicial Watch is a non-profit, non-partisan educational foundation, promoting transparency, accountability and integrity in government and fidelity to the rule of law. We regularly monitor congressional ethics issues as part of our anti-corruption mission.

This letter serves as an official complaint with the Office of Congressional Ethics (OCE).

Substantial, compelling and, to date, unrefuted evidence has been uncovered that Rep. Ilhan Omar may have committed the following crimes in violation of both federal law and Minnesota state law: perjury, immigration fraud, marriage fraud, state and federal tax fraud, and federal student loan fraud.

Such violations would also breach the Code of Ethics for Government Service, to which all federal officeholders are subject, “Any person in Government service should uphold the Constitution, laws, and legal regulations of the United States and all governments therein and never be a party to their evasion.”) Rep. Omar actions in this suspected immigration fraud, marriage fraud, perjurious statements on her Minnesota divorce filings, and falsifications on her tax returns, merit your immediate investigation.

In the words of investigative reporter David Steinberg: “The facts describe perhaps the most extensive spree of illegal misconduct committed by a House member in American history.”

Hallelujah….REJOICE AMERICAN VICTIMS Justice is HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

US Government Imposes Visa Restrictions On Nigerians, Gives Reasons

The Visa restriction imposed by the American government is not on all Nigerians but on individuals responsible for undermining the Nigerian democratic process.

A spokesperson of the US Department of State, Ms. Morgan Ortagus, revealed this in a statement on Tuesday.

Ortagus explained that the action applied to those responsible for election-related violence.

According to her, the unidentified individuals had “operated with impunity at the expense of the Nigerian people and undermined democratic principles and human rights”.

“In a January 24 statement, the U.S. government said that we would consider consequences – including visa restrictions – for individuals responsible for undermining the Nigerian democratic process or for organizing election-related violence.

“To that end, the Secretary of State is imposing visa restrictions on Nigerians believed to be responsible for, or complicit in, undermining democracy in Nigeria.

“These individuals have operated with impunity at the expense of the Nigerian people and undermined democratic principles and human rights,” she said.

The spokesperson emphasized that the restrictions targeted at specific individuals and not directed at the Nigerian people or the newly-elected government.

“The United States is a steadfast supporter of Nigerian democracy. “We commend all those Nigerians who participated peacefully in the February and March 2019 elections and have worked to strengthen Nigerian democratic institutions and processes.

“As Nigeria marks the 20th anniversary of a return to democratic rule this year, we remain committed to working together to continue to advance democracy and respect for human rights and achieve greater peace and prosperity for both our nations.

“We condemn those whose acts of violence, intimidation, or corruption harmed Nigerians or undermined the democratic process,” Ortagus added.

We will continue to support the democratic norms in Nigeria

until everything is properly aligned, she said.
