The intent has never been altered - just the translated words. The KJ bible and others are blasphemy with intent to sway people AWAY from what God wanted us to do. It is not about forming Christianity or Judaism. Those are religions.
The book is a way of life such as Hinduism, or Taoism, or more. It gives us simple law - do not eat pork, do not etc etc.
It is the best doctrine ever given. Without it how do you base your moral standard? On what the government says to do?
