It's more like: Marshall took ten fucking years to come up with the most diabolical possible attack to be sprung on an unaware Capablanca. There were no public hints of it coming, it was a complete blindside and novel attack.

Capablanca, with impeccable defensive play, neutered the attack, then tilted the board in his direction. His attack and mate relied on a pawn escaping confinement and becoming a queen to mate.

Who might see themselves as a pawn escaping confinement? Who might be Capablanca?

Perhaps.

The moment in the match posted by Assange is exactly where the momentum switches ever so slightly to Capablanca.

Since Assange posted it, I'd bet he believes himself to be the freed pawn and Trump (or some other power player) to be Capablanca.

The meta message is that a very promising, dangerous, and novel attack has been rebuffed and the tables have now turned.
