WICHITA, Kan. What happened a Wichita daycare is now at the center of a lawsuit against KinderCare Learning Centers LLC.

According to a lawsuit filed last month in Sedgwick County, a family picked up their son from KinderCare near 13th and Tyler with bruises.

Documents show the parents of the boy got a call from one of the employees saying bruises were found on their son. The lawsuit says an employee saw another employee violently grab the boy off the floor.

The family's attorney, Richard James, says they feel like the daycare wasn't up front with them about what happened and the parents were confident they didn't drop their son off with bruises.

The paperwork claims the daycare was negligent.

"They really want to ensure that this never happens to any other family or young person," said James.
