It's painstaking work. I've looked extensively online at Roth, Hitler genealogy. They have erased or made a lot private so internet searching has its limitations. If you were able to go to places like the LDS genealogy temple, you could search microfilm of census records and things like that, but trying to trace the wives was almost a dead end because it's all been made private.
