I have friends that work in various agencies in the gov (nothing spoopy) and while theyre my friends they all have the same attitude. There is no sense of urgency, they're protect by bureaucracy and they know it, and most them would never ever ever make it in the private sector and they know it.
Gov jobs as a general make people focus on "muh retirement and benefits" NOT the job at hand.
Im not hating on them for it, the culture of working for the gov just does it. It's worse than a typical union shop "not my job not my problem" or "stay in your lane, that's not your job"
