Thinking about puppets and The Godfather references Q loves. Look at logo of the book series. (see pic)
At the end of the first movie, there's this quote...
The meaning behind Fujita’s logo design — the puppet-master pulling the strings behind the scenes, is echoed in on the last scenes before Vito dies. He tells Michael:
“I never wanted this for you. I work my whole life — I don’t apologize — to take care of my family, and I refused to be a fool, dancing on the string held by all those big shots. I don’t apologize — that’s my life — but I thought that, that when it was your time, that you would be the one to hold the strings. Senator Corleone, Governor Corleone, something. Well, it wasn’t enough time, Michael.”
Interesting that the Don uses "senator" and "governor".
So, the question is, who is pulling Nader et al's strings?
