Sorry to burst the bubble, but "for to be" is a colloquialism I've heard most of my life.

Instead of saying. "the corn is ready to be cut," or "the corn is ready for cutting," some of the old time farmers I grew up listening to put it all together and expressed the thought just as DN did.

Sometimes there isn't a coded message.
