>IF what former cop says is true? I can totally see that.

its is possible and a number of reasons could explain why he might have saved him, but we don't have enough details to really evaluate what happened. Were they both in the same cell, or in a common room with other inmates besides them two? How would have an attacker penetrated a high security prison? If he was attacked, it was likely either a prison guard or a cell mate. Did the cop know the 4 people that he killed? It is much easier killing those you don't know personally. Perhaps he was the attacker, but couldn't follow thru with it because he had developed a personal relationship with Epstein. Its possible, but then why would Epstein not rat him out? Who knows, but I think Q was right, "Epstein, 66, appeared to have genuinely believed he was going to get bail and return to his $77 million Upper East Side mansion, a source previously told the Daily News."
