The experimental part of that raised some eyebrows and adrenalin levels in 1972, when Williamsburg's Virginia Gazette quoted former CIA agents saying the experimental training included the use of small hand-held nuclear weapons.

"Nowadays almost half the CIA recruits being trained at Camp Peary are women. Husband-and-wife teams are growing in popularity." (follow the wives)

"Another rumor is that there are one or more safe houses within the camp's vast forest where one or more Soviet defectors have been kept for months while being debriefed of their secrets."
