I am not going to discourage a dig, but I think many of us are at a point where we are either an answer in search of a riddle or we have answers to bigger riddles that these are a subset of, and aren't really interested in the minutia.

At least until we have a more general availability of records. Even so - there are limits on how much we get to know about people that doesn't immediately pertain to their crimes.

We are seeing the game now, I think, of people trying to throw each other under the bus and some are getting their burn notice. When intelligence/operator networks get compromised, there is often a plan in place to make someone a scapegoat and focus the legal action on them.

I believe this is why we are seeing the attacks against Mueller, for example. Not to say that he is an innocent little angel or has been our white hat all along (though that is a possibility that can't be completely omitted) - but that the goal is to focus attention, frustration, anger, and the law onto a specific person to compartmentalize damage. Focus on what Mueller did in his past - not who he was doing it with or who was above him to make it so at the time.
