Have NEVER seen this many sub-committees within ANY board of directors ANYWHERE in my life.

This is very unusual, very atypical type of board formation.

Normally, there is a smaller number (usually under 20) to provide a more practical size for work and discussions. The number is large enough to protect continuity in case of member resignation or death, but small enough that all members are acquainted and can talk frankly amongst themselves.

The subcommittees themselves have multiple unusual titles and stated purposes. Scrolling through the list, one of the first ones is called:

Astrobiology/SETI Board

This board discusses astrobiology and SETI. Handling first contact situations is a priority for this board.

Handling first contact situations

Somebody want to explain exactly who CHOSE these people to be appropriate representatives of humanity to "first contact" visitors?

Am speechless.

Anon was correct, about this being a huge rabbit hole.

These guys have been operating in secrecy. Very, very troubling.

Georgiafag checking in.

Have visited Jekyll multiple times. It's a BEAUTIFUL place to visit. I personally like the Georgia "Golden Isles" island chain much better than the more-crowded Hilton Head area just up the coast, although St. Simons is becoming more commercialized, the natural beauty there is fairly well protected.

TIP: Arrive during daylight hours, because local ordinance prevent ANY signs above a very low height, and lighting is VERY DIM to take care of sea turtles. You'll have a hell of a time finding your condo or a restaurant if you're not there during daylight.

ENTIRE area's history goes back to colonial days

YES absolutely there are some old tabby remains of settlements and a fort in the area

Tabby is a kind of concrete made of crushed shells

Remember this is VERY close to Oglethorpe's settlement in Savannah

There are still multiple islands and areas only reachable by boat

It's a very complex environment. Boaters have GOT to know their shit before navigating in there.

The King's Bay Naval submarine base is tucked into that maze of intracoastal waterways

A good friend who used to work in the Georgia Attorney General's office said he and another lawyer once had to go down to Glynn County to dig up a property history on a land parcel. They ended up having to put on white cotton gloves to handle the pre-colonial letters and deeds.

That said:

Initial dig on Leon Weiner & Associates (the actual Leon Weiner is dead)

CEO is currently guy with the name Kelly, and it appears he has brothers also involved in the company

Comes as no surprise to me that they're involved with Jimmy Carter's Habitat for Humanity org (Georgia connections again)

Here's the big one: CATHOLIC CHARITIES

I'm thinking of all this off the top of my head because I've lived here all my life (as had parents, grandparents, back to RevWar)

Go with me here:

Georgia has a big problem with child sex trafficking. This is well known and a pet project of the current state AG, Chris Carr.

Nancy Schaefer (former state rep) and her husband were killed when she started investigating child sex trafficking being tied to the state CPS operation.

I have heard for YEARS that the nucleus of all kinds of trafficking in Georgia comes out of Valdosta.

Valdosta is in the lower right-hand corner of the state

It's close to the Port of Savannah, the Golden Isles, the Florida state line, all the military shit in the area (and there's a LOT) and all the intermodal handling centers and I-75

Gulfstream Aircraft's world headquarters is right there, too, outside Savannah

People fly in there to buy new aircraft or have their existing aircraft modified all the time

Any digs on the Jekyll Island Club absolutely MUST include its history going back much further than World War II

Check the chain of possession on the land

I'm going to assume everybody here knows about the (((bankers))) meeting that happened there

They all had to GTFO when WWII broke out, because there was so much wealth in one place that it created a target

When those guys left, they never came back, for the most part

Started vacationing/wintering elsewhere because air travel became a thing

The bankers were coming in & out of Jekyll on their yachts

After the war, they flew or traveled by train

That's really bugging me about Leon Weiner & Associates being tied up with Catholic Charities. It's a straight line to government money from settling "immigrants". Co-opting Habitat for Humanity is just streamlining their business model; got to put those South Americans and Africans somewhere.

The Georgia connections has me hooked. Will dig more.
