If it's hunting it'll be looking to the left/right of that pattern trying to triangulate electronic emissions.
Most likely snooping on Seattle/Tacoma.
It could be looking at targets some considerable distance from the plane.
That is why you see SIGINT planes flying wide curve tracks too as they focus on one small target.
