Except you read scripture backward. Paul is speaking to those that know the carnal law, showing that the husband is the corrupt thought and the wife is the carnal mind that gives birth to the corrupt thought. And when a corrupt thought is conceived it brings forth sin and sin when it is finished brings forth death. So under the law of sin and death, the husband is already dead in which case the wife is free to marry. POTUS is not guided by the law of sin and death, but rather the perfect law of liberty. The fundamental difference being those that are carnal spend all their time looking for a way to condemn; those with the mind of Christ seek peace and liberty. What is it you seek?
