Controversies about Opus Dei

Opus Dei has been accused of running a business of selling babies during and after the Spanish civil war. According to the allegations, a group of doctors, Opus Dei priests, and members of General Francisco Franco's secret police kidnapped thousands of children from women known to have supported the Republican cause. To this day no Opus Dei priest was prosecuted for their alleged involvement in running this child kidnapping business. In official Opus Dei reports about their own history these business activities have been excluded.
