Sexual compulsion means you are leaking your inner energy somewhere. No external help will do much (eg. hiring a prostitute, having cheap desperate sex), you have to find and plug the leak since you are unconsciously trying to fix inner damage and lack of energy through lower urges that promise happiness.

The urge itself is not the problem. Your state of being is.

No religion can ever replace inner spiritual growth ever.

If you go to a church it's the community that matters, so I'd say keep that in mind. And be aware of what you are doing and what the church teaches. Trust yourself.
